Leveraging the tools, technology, and resources of our roots, one of the world’s largest privately held media companies, Advance, we aim to simplify and modernize the automotive go-to-market.

Our History
Our team of automotive, technology, marketing, data, and software leaders have been working in the space for over a decade. In late 2017, we brought these disciplines together and then in 2020 launched our first SaaS company, ZeroSum, which is focused on helping tier 3 dealers leverage real time insights to increase market share.
We’re the first player in the automotive space to use all the available inventory, in-market demand, machine learning, and vast amounts of data to understand and then influence the purchase. We model exactly what is happening market by market and deliver that insight to our partners.

Advance Local Forms a New Automotive Division
Advance Local, a leading media, tech and marketing company, assembles a team of automotive experts to simplify and modernize auto go-to-market.
2019
Advance Automotive Acquires MotoMiner
MotoMiner is the only web-based vehicle search engine that indexes every marketed vehicle in the US and sends shoppers directly to VDPs.
2020
ZeroSum Launches
And, we're off... with our first company, ZeroSum and our first SaaS solution, MarketAI, which uses all of the available inventory, active shoppers, machine learning, and vast amounts of data to understand and then influence the purchase.
Advance Automotive Acquires Hoot Interactive
Founded in 2009, Hoot Interactive was created to solve a problem for the automotive industry—to provide easy, reliable and affordable marketing solutions for auto agencies and advertisers.
2021
ZeroSum Launches Auto-Stream
A first-of-its-kind platform that utilizes real-time data to assist auto dealers and marketers with the transition from traditional TV to over-the-top (OTT) and connected TV (CTV) advertising to drive faster auto sales and lower advertising costs.
2022
Advance Automotive Acquires Search Optics
Search Optics becomes Advance Automotive’s third company. The investment of one of the nation’s leading providers of digital marketing services and advertising technology solutions for the automotive industry, brings new opportunities for the market.
2023
Cloud Theory Launches
Cloud Theory, a new company whose primary objective is to provide better and more useful data insights for the automotive industry, launches. Cloud Theory was developed by the founders of ZeroSum who recognized a need for better data in the automotive market.
2024
Advance Automotive Acquires Adpearance
Using a combination of technology and service, Adpearance helps clients who sell offline create better buying experiences that drive more sales. Adpearance was founded to solve complex business challenges with digital solutions, combining custom built products, data-driven communications, and direct expertise to drive business forward.
